What is the IIU?
The Irish Internet Users' List is a public forum for discussion of various topics relating to a user's view of the internet in Ireland, such as:
- what various ISPs and telco/cable companies have in the pipeline regarding the next connection mechanism, be it ISDN, cablemodems, the fabled ADSL, or new deals on offer;
- pricings, tariffs, and restrictions of those deals;
- connection details for non-Windows users (does it use PAP/CHAP? etc.);
- technical details and limitations on use of those technologies (does the second ISDN B channel work with a "home user" deal, etc?)
If you want to get some technical details about what the telcos and ISPs are putting up as offerings for home users, and what's delaying it, this is the place to do it.

You can edit any page by pressing the link at the bottom of the page. Capitalized words joined together form a WikiName, which hyperlinks to another page. The highlighted title searches for all pages that link to the current page. Pages which do not yet exist are linked with a question mark: just follow the link and you can add a definition.
